A cat owner has melted hearts on social media after sharing a video of her kitty spontaneously deciding to introduce her to her newborn kittens.
In the viral clip, shared on TikTok in March, under the username @usersilver22, the tuxedo cat can be seen leading her owner upstairs, stopping to look back as if making sure she's following her.
Once upstairs, the kitty brings her owner into the bedroom, where her three kittens, who look just like her, are napping in a warm blanket inside a box.
While not all cats will exhibit signs of missing their babies when they're taken away for adoption, many do show some form of sadness and distress, and that's because they develop a strong bond during the first weeks of the kittens' lives, according to website Vet Explains Pets.
That's why if your cat's babies are rehomed, you should provide her extra comfort and support to help her deal with her loss. "Remember, cats may be independent creatures, but they are not immune to the pain of loss and separation," Vet Explains Pets said.

In honor of the start of the baseball season, for the first time ever, Burlington County Animal Shelter visitors will not only be able to meet the animals looking for forever homes, but they can also play carnival games, snack on hot dogs and enjoy an exciting competition between two very unusual teams.
Shelter director Ericka Haines said a baseball āField of Dreamsā has been marked off, and the Burlington Strays, an all-dog team, will take on the County Cats for shelter bragging rights. āEvery adoption is considered a home run,ā she said. āSo, every time an animal gets adopted, one of the mascots, whether itās a dog or itās a cat, will do a run of the bases and initiate a home run.ā

The first pitch of the game between the Strays and the Cats will be thrown out by Dan OāConnell, the deputy director of the Burlington County Board of Commissioners, who adopted a senior dog named Bingo about two years ago. āOur shelter does a great job,ā he said. āI gotta tell you, my guy is gonna be 8 this June. Heās great company.ā
OāConnell praised shelter staff and volunteers and said the Friends of Burlington County Animal Shelter will help out with the event. People interested in fostering and adopting can look at the different animals available or find other ways to support the center online.
āWhether youāre looking for a new animal or have some questions about your current one, itās a great way for people to come out and get some education and resources at the same time,ā she said. The Burlington County animal shelter, which opened in the early 1970s, currently has 110 dogs and 115 cats available for adoption or fostering.
